    I have also cut down the time to make it to just a couple hours, I now cut out everything do as much of the ironing as I can, sew the 3 pieces that need to be sewn first, iron on the fleece and an sit to just quilt and assemble. After the first one you can do it much faster, I don't even need to look at the pattern anymore.

    Well, now that I have made one, I can find shortcuts too.The first one is always the hardest if it is done a different way than you are used to. I would also make the straps about 2 inches longer so I could put it over my shoulder. I do prefer the interfacing to the fleece though. My picky daughter just loved it.

    this is exactly what i do too... sometimes i cut more then one out and roll them all up seperately .. then i move from one to the other...
    and.. btw.. my first two took me about 5-6 hours as well.. lol now it's zippity do da day !!!
