    Striking. Batiks have a way of taking a pattern and giving it the "wow" factor. You have the "wow" here.

    sorry, i didn't name the block--this came out in a time when people sewed scraps of clothing together to keep warm--[the DEPRESSION era] pattern available on quilterscache.com

    I had no directions..LOL.. maybe that helped me... I am not good with directions... .I just made the light and dark together and placed them .. .. there is so many quilts you can make with those light and darks. our quilts of valor group makes one with a heart in centre ;)

    here is the pattern for the block i did mine ( black and white ) in 6 inch squares because I already had some cut out. it probably take 4 of these and a border for a lap quilt
