    Oh Yes, I remember those days. My mother used Pinking Sheers to cut out fabric pieces. She made clothes mostly. I do remember her and my Aunt's making quilts with
    Kay Pok(sp) for the batting. I use to watch her sew many times.

    Your quilt is a wonderful piece of work. What a treasure.

    Beautiful quilt. I remember the cereal box cardboard templates also. When I used to stay with my grandmother as a child I would "quilt" on her treadle machine and always used cardboard squares to cut out my fabric. Your post brought back some good memories for me. :-D
