Thanks everyone, Minnesewta-sam, the inner black square is 18 inches and the finished panel is 26 inches square. The centre panel started off at 22 inches square and is then cut like a pizza into eight and you attach the initial purple triangles which are actually a 5 3/4 inch square folded in half.i think this comes from her book Foldy Rolly Patchwork Pzazz.
