    I like it...but then I've never seen an ugly quilt unless it's those "art" quilts.

    Not an "ugly duckling" at all. With the right borders, thinking maybe a dark brown to frame it & then one of the fabrics from your blocks as an outside border. Just MHO.

    Your picture does not show an ugly quilt. It definitely needs a border, maybe two. I think I would frame it with an inch border than another border of maybe four inches. two different colors. I like this quilt, it looks great to me.

    I have not seen this D9P pattern.....I just finished a "normal" D9P for a niece and now her sister is expecting. Would love to do this pattern.....can you tell me who has it? Thanks much!

    I like your quilt. It has an understated beauty that borders will enhance. I have this pattern. Mine is called a Magic 9 patch. It is a favorite of mine. Please post another pic when it is finished.

    It's going to be really nice.... I'd pick a bold contrast for the border, like either the red or the navy in the quilt. Great job.
