    Default Twister Quilt...Passe or not?

This is the third twister quilt I have made. The other two were made several years ago. Do you this this pattern is outdated? I ended up choosing this pattern for a couple of reasons. Like many of the patterns I choose, I try to pick a pattern that I can shop my stash on. So that was one reason. I had several one yard cuts that I thought would work (the greens & the black) and I had a smattering of the right shade of blue. Also I knew this pattern would finish as a square since I have made it before. I wanted a square because I had a 60 inch square package of batting (Hobbs Tuscany Wool) that I got at a great price and wanted to use. That said it was my first time using the wool batting and it sure has a nice loft to it. If you are looking for a puffy batting I definitely recommend it. This quilt has no particular recipient at this time but I thought it leans toward "juvenile boy". Always good to have a finished quilt on hand in case the need arises.

I think your quilt is really nice and it met all your criteria, surely would make a great gift for a guy! Sounds like a win all the way around. Sometimes its just good to have a go to pattern

I think it is one of the more interesting (that is meant as a compliment!) versions of twister. I like it!

The borders complement the center - and I like your fabric choices.

The center has movement and the borders stabilize it. Nicely done!

As far as the pattern "being out of date" - I think your version is very modern looking.

The Twister pattern is a new method of a traditional pattern so of course it isn’t passé. Great quilt and a boy will love it!

I don't think there's such a thing as an out-of-date pattern! Your quilt is great!
