Ohh Thank you for posting your photos using Minke squares. I also have left over minke. I love both your quilts. Do you have any tips for piecing with the minke?

both are adorable... what great gifts for charity. I have not done a D9p ... was yours a standard d9p or some variation? I would be very interested in using that pattern as I have just finished my third Warm Wishes and need a change of pace.

Very Nice and think of how the Child will love feeling the Contrast between the cotton and the Soft Minky fabrics as they snuggle up in it...

Just pin, pin, pin and square up the nine patch before you cut in quarters. I took a slightly more than 1/4" seam to be able to control the Minkie within the seam allowance. I also used this tutorial: http://kaelynscreativestudio.blogspo...ith-focus.html
so that my directional focus fabric all faced the same direction, including the nap of the Minkie. It limits the design possibilities, but was happy with the results.

Am taking note of your use of the white as it really makes the pattern stand out more.
Thank you for the inspiration and lucky little ones who will receive them.
