That's nice. I haven't seen that fabric. I love the civil war era.

I second the motion about the "brushed" on tea. Great solution to making this more uniform in color. I've also used coffee.

Where did you get the Abe Lincoln Panels? My DH is a geat admirer of Abe and looks a lot like him. I would love to make a wall hanging for him for his 72th BD.

These are great. The second one made me feel very proud to be an American. Great job.

Here is the link to the Abe panels. These are actually postcards made into fabric. The fabric comes in a postcard sized packet (4 in the packet) backed by freezer paper or similar. Just peel off when ready to use. They have lots more to choose from than just this - Abe has 3 or 4 sets to choose from. Quality is excellent and price is reasonable. The civil war fabrics - Abe cameo, cannons/flags, etc came from Hancock Fabrics (not Hancocks of Paducah, although they probably carry it). Can't wait to see your finished product. Please be sure to post pictures, OK?

Both are fantastic! Wouldn't an American History teacher love the Abraham Lincoln!

The baby quilt is just darling. It looks so cute and I am sure the new Mother will be delighted!

    Hi SharonAnne,
I like your quilts. I make story quilts like yours from fabric book panels.
    Here's my story quilt.
