It is also available from Quilters Cache as either pieced or paper pieced with templates

I would not use the same red as those hearts, they are the focal point of this piece.....maybe a print of blk/wht to border it then bind in black to end it.....what is the size....I know someone who is getting married in Oct., this might be a good gift...........pm me please with pattern, or who has it and size, if possible....thanks

I can't decide if I want to put a red small border around it and a bigger one after that. Still playing with it. Thanks for looking.
Awesome! I never had a Storm at Sea on my list until I saw this one - now I want one too! I think a red inner border will help contain the motion of the quilt, then a larger border or maybe two, in white and black. Just audition the fabrics, take some pictures, put them all up side by side and look at them - I think it sometimes helps to have that 'second set of eyes' (the photos) to help me make up my mind.

I looked this up on the internet. There is a blog talking about the storm at sea quilt. She mentioned a book by Wendy Mathson, A New Light on Storm At Sea. http://wideworldofquilting.blogspot....rm-at-sea.html

I followed her link to CT publishing. You can look virtually through the entire book. You wouldn't believe all the different designs that can be incorporated into a storm at sea. http://www.ctpub.com/client/client_p...-1-57120-578-0

Books A Million sells it for $18. http://www.booksamillion.com/p/New-L.../9781571205780

Alibris has several books ranging from $15-$20 that are new. http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?ti...quilts&mtype=B
