    Default Two little quilts

I wanted to share two small quilts that I've made this last year. The first I made for my daughter and has 5 flower motifs that I embroidered. The doilies were purchased because I just wanted to get the quilt done without taking more time to crochet the doilies. I hand quilted everything. The quilting is simple because I wanted the embroidery to stand out.

The second little quilt I made for my sister. It is all hand quilted. I learned on this quilt that the quality of batting really matters. The batting bearded horribly on the brown. I had to wet down the fabric and batting as I quilted it to keep bearding to a minimum. It turned out ok though.

They are both beautiful. I love those little triangular pieces of ribbon on the edge of the embroidered block
