What more can I say, but OBW-Wonderful!!!!! :)

Course was great, and the teacher was such a blessing. One of those that keeps the stress level down, and seems to have the instinct as to just what you need ... and just enough coaching, but not overbearing. And bonus ... they have design walls for all of us to use ... and too, she pressed so we could keep sewing!! :) Love having a Personal Assistant.

Since coming home, I sewed a bit on Friday night .... and again last night. Now have all my hexes done. Although, I am considering cutting and making more ... will do some measuring and determine how large I really want this to be!

With the paler fabric, it's not the WOW factor of the punchier bright ones ... I'm quite pleased though with the softer look. My pic is a little washed out on the colour for you to see. Maybe when I get them on my design wall, the lighting will be different and give a truer colour?

Once I do get them all on my fuzzy wall, I will post it.

In the meantime, here's a pic to show how it's starting to shape up ...............

Here's what I accomplished at the course

The challenge begins now ... of how to get the hexes into the right position.

Here's the first attempt. I think what I need to do is to start with the darker ones in a corner and then gradually fan out in colour groups, with the lightest in the diagonally opposite corner.

    Maybe?

Unfortunately, the colours are not coming out so good online. And not being a geek at such, I don't know if there's anything I can do to help get them better?

I think its beautiful! I have a OBW on my design wall now.. it has been for a year lol. I think its the hardest part..decideding placement. I looked at yours and my eye went right to the white...use the white in the center as focal point..and then go where they lead you. We are so good at telling others what to do lol...Sweetie its your quilt..do it the way you love it : ) It will be beautiful!

I agree! ... mine and do it my way!

Though I do love this Board for the input and suggestions from others. You see, I hadn't even thought of starting with the white (which is actually a pale blue) in the centre, and going out from there! Whether that'a what I do or not ... I like the idea for a try at it.
