Rachel,
Your dresses are fabulous. You chose styles that flatter you and fitted them well. I also see some upscale touches that make them very unique. You will be living in these and looking good every time you do.
About zippers, some advice from an old home ec major. I hated the way my zippers turned out so I turned to a technique I learned in my tailoring class. It's called hand-picked zipper. Here's a tute:http://www.threadsmagazine.com/item/...rth-the-effort
This technique is just as fast as machine zipper application, can be done with reqular thread and is every bit as strong as machine installed zippers. It won't show much on your prints but it can be a fashion statement on solids. BTW, on the tute; ignore those beads. Don't they know people lean back!
Nice job!

That is exactly what I thought!
Thanks everyone for the compliments! Being able to sew garments gives me much of the same satisfaction as when I first learned to can. I can do something that's useful and neccessary. That's a great feeling. :)
Large bust. Even made my bathing suits. Best compliment is, "Oh, where did you buy that?" And you'll never see yourself competing with anyone else in the same dress.
