Two quilt tops, Same pattern

I like the green choice but I am not a "brown" person and have little in my stash. I like your persistence and choices of colors that allowed you to work from stash and to be creative. Like others have said, changing the color palette can certainly change how the pattern shines.

You've done a terrific job on both quilts! I really like the colours and movement in the green but the other is lovely too.
I always struggle with picking fabrics for "mystery" quilts - I like to see the overall pic so that choosing where to place a specific colour/design will fit the mood of the project. I did do a Bonnie Hunter mystery a few years ago and was disappointed with the colour placement - haven't done another since.
Did you do a block a week or a section each month? I think it's great that your guild offered a fun activity during these crazy times! Awesome results!!

I like them both! The brown edge makes the blues and white pop! While the greens are so earthy and the earth tones and fabrics make this quilt feel so warm so quickly that I want to jump right under it. Thanks for sharing these 2 lovely quilts.
