Both of these are georgeous!! I am glad you explained about the first one because I certainly was puzzled, trying to figure out the pattern LOL. Love the colours! The second is similar to the Fos & Porters magazine cover (Sept/Oct 2011)except I must say that I like your colour choices MUCH better!!

Pattern is using the blocks like in "pick up sticks." then I just laid it out until I found an overall layout I liked. Then just added borders etc. I tend to do a lot of u own thing'.
