    I just love all the variations of log cabin quilts! Yours is another wonderful design. And scrappy is perfect for log cabins too! Makes me want to put everything on hold & go make one.

    What a wonderful quilt. The red "hearth" in the middle is perfect to remind him that he was protecting his homeland. Maybe you could tell him about log cabin blocks and what the represent. ???
