    Wink Ugly duckling into a....

Upon occasion I find a bag or three full of fabric scraps on my front porch, dropped off by party unknown.
This arrived as an unfinished top stuffed in one of the bags. I sliced and diced and inserted the pink sashing as there was so much pink already going on in the blocks. I added some richness to the mix with the border fabrics, and quilted each block with a curl of feathers. The outer border is quilted with a feather-and-curl. I think it came out pretty nice! The guild was happy to receive it and give it to a charitable cause

You are very good at 'making do' and turning out a very pretty piece.
How did you do that? Good color sense.
