    It's definitely not ugly. It's beautiful and anyone can see lots of love and work went into it. I would not hesitate to give it as gift and I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled that you thought enough of them to give them a handmade quilt.

    Oh goodness--I would never think "ugly" when I saw that. Rich in color and well done are what come to mind. :D I would definitely give it as a gift.
