This reminds me of the wall paper in my sister's kitchen. She used an old timer, well known for excellent work to install the printed paper...he always matched up everything; and was proud (rightfully so) of his work. After a number of years after having the wallpaper installed, my nephew casually commented (between spoons of Cheerios), "Ya, there's a mistake up in the corner"....Everyone was shocked. Later, she ran into the gentleman wall paperer and mentioned it in passing. He was in such disbelief that he had to come and see it for himself.

Some mistakes are so subtle, that they just add character. And that's the story with your quilt.
p.s. It is beautiful. Fixing it is up to you--good luck!

Beautiful quilt and great save!!! I am curious though.....did you see it after you took a picture? The last time I did that, I didn't see it until I took the picture and then it jumped out at me.

Loved the story about the wallpaper!!!

Probably would not have notice if it had been pointed out.

I did that when my husband saw a mistake in a king size quilt of different blocks. But I won't do it again. I would say leave it. Great quilt!!!

Beautiful quilt. Unless this quilt is for someone else,I'd leave it. This is not a perfect world nor is anyone who lives in it -perfect. Maybe thats a new idea for quilts, Hidden mistake done on purpose, so that the pple will really have to hunt to find it. lol Anyways nice job ,I love it and the colors.

I think we've all done something like that. Glad you caught it in time. Good looking quilt.

PS, one of my guild sisters found one tree on her almost entirely quilted project was on its side. She drew in a tree stump, axe, and feet sticking out from under the tree. She named the quilt, "Where's Roger?" (her accident prone DH) Mistakes happen. I'm glad yours is fixable.

I never have to worry about making mistakes on purpose! Very good at making them without even trying.

Now that you pointed I can see it. Probably would have seen it anyway but, I would never say anything. I would have to fix it, just the way I'm made.
    It is beautiful.

I'm with you NJ Quilter - no need to purposely make a mistake!

And the quilt is gorgeous - and I probably would fix it too.
