    Thanks for everyone's lovely comments...but I have very sad news..

    My dear friend Jan, who I made this quilt for has sadly past away...without even setting eyes on her quilt. I posted it down to her as she lives a couple of hundred miles away, but unfortunately she was admitted before it arrived and she told her carer not to bring it into hospital as she didn't want it to get damaged or lost...no one expected her to lose her life, as she was admitted with a swollen knee!! I am really sad and as Jan had no close family, I have asked for the quilt to be returned to me so I have a keepsake of her in the quilt. Jan only saw the very first block as she wanted it to be a surprise, I just hope she is looking down and can see it :cry: :cry: :cry: :shock: :shock:

    Thanks Lilrain, John is doing a bit better, but sadly Jan died without even seeing this quilt, I have it now as a keepsake of her.
