Unicorn quilt top is done!
I finally finished the top of the unicorn quilt I am making for my little girl! It is hard to see from the pictures, but it is appliqued in metallic thread in a little flower pattern. It sparkles! Now on to the quilting. I am really open to ideas here, though nothing too complex! I thought about a different them in each block. Stars and moons for the block with the unicorn on the moon, some blocks with maybe echo quilting, maybe rainbows on blocks with rainbows? Other ideas??

Super adorable! I bet your DD will squeal with delight when you gift it. I like your idea of different designs. Here is a link to a quilt I longarmed for the maker several years ago that was also for her daughter. I quilted them in trying to stay in the theme of the blocks, with a couple of special requests by the owner thrown in.

What a beautiful quilt! Thank you for sharing. I love all the different designs in each block. I am thinking of connected hearts in one, and butterflies in another (need to practice butterflies)! I have machine quilted a few of mine, but in the past had most of them done for me because I just was frustrated with so little throat space. Now my new (used) machine is on the way I can't wait to actually quilt my own.

Very cute! I would stitch in the ditch on all the seams between the blocks first. Make sure you quilt from the center outwards to prevent wrinkles on the back. I would then stitch around all the appliques and that would be enough quilting but if you wanted to add in some things, you could.
