    Default UNIQUE baby quilt

I have been working on a Dear Jane, almost exclusivly, but took some time off to make a baby quilt. I did a pretty unusual quilt, partly because I had the panel on hand, and mostly because the baby's family is very active with horses in their livestyle. To help make it a little baby oriented, I did the primary colors for the border. And I had some horse fleece for the backing. Sure hope that they like it. We don't know if it is a girl or boy, so I couldn't bring any of the pink or blue, exclusively. So, I went down the middle and used the yellow for the binding. Be warned, it is bright.

That is one cute horsey quilt. Whichever gender the baby will love it. I've been following your DJ threads, you do wonderful work.

Thanks, Dakotamaid. I am loving the DJ, but it really does dominate your sewing time.

The baby will love it, especially as he/she grows a little and sees all the rest of the family busy with horses.

That is very unique and very special. I really like the "window panes" in the center panel. I'm sure there's a more appropriate name for them, but I like the interest it gives the whole cloth panel.

I like that "window pane" look, too. Was it hard to do? It's adorable! I know both baby & family will love, love, love this little gem!
