Update: Am I heading in the.... I DID IT!...
#117
Oh you lovely, supportive, endearing people, I actually cried reading your postings! Your very kind comments really touched my heart deeply.Thank you so much for your support, I must admit it took a great deal of courage to post that photo!! I wasn't searching for praise or compliments just support!! I actually was wondering if I should do another quilt!! Thank you for encouraging me to try another one.
The quilt top looked so perfect after I got done piecing it, I was only 1/8" off on the top edge, I was so proud it came out so even! Of course I squared it up. When I sandwiched the entire thing together it looked fabulous all pinned together...the backing is just perfect but then when I started the quilting that's kinda where it fell apart!! giggle I have an ENORMOUS respect for all quilters who actually quilt their own quilts!!!!
I can see a few crooked lines and that broke my heart, yes I am ANAL/perfectionist as my darling children tell me. And I totally agree we are indeed our worst critics... still not completely satisfied but I know I will do better next time.
Love the suggestion of the Serpentine stitch!
This is grandbaby #5, second child for our darling daughter. We are so excited for his arrival.
Thank you for the joy your kindness brought to me, it means so much to have support from your fellow quilters.
And may I just say, this is the MOST incredible group of fellow human beings I have ever had the honor to know. I feel I know you as dear friends instead of strangers out there in cyberspace.Wouldn't the world be a fabulous place if it consisted of the type of wonderful people that are a part of tthis board!!
