I want to share pics of the update in my craft/sewing room. In an earlier posting I had shown you how we painted the room and made a cutting table. I didn't have curtains up nor the shelving. The other day I made a score at a garage sale and got this shelf unit. The brackets are supposed to be for a closet.....but I'm displaying my GREAT GREAT Grandmother's quilt up on it! It sits out a ways so I put some bias tape on it (until I can make a ribbon) and pinned it back against the wall. I also have room on the right of the quilt to hang pieces I'm working on - to get the finished ones out of my way....or until I find something else to display!!! LOL

I also got the curtains done......They're bright and sunshiney!!!!! I am showing a closeup of the fabric. I can't find this fabric now -- these were curtains I'd made a # of years ago. My family teases me about my love for bright colors.....so quilting is just right for me!!! LOL

I forgot to mention....the quilt was found at my mother's last summer. She'd forgotten about it!!!!!!! It's about a full bed size and has only TWO tiny stains and NO tears!!! I'm 59 - if I could figure it out, I'd know about the age!!! LOL LOL -- let's see -- my grandmother would be 109, this year... and if it was her grandmother.....can ANYONE figure it out??? LOL

Hmmm, let's see -- if your grandmother would be 109 this year, maybe figure 40 years between generations or 80 years total. And if you're 57, so add 52 years to your grandmother's age -- about 130 years???? (How's that for some strange math     ) In other words, I really have NO idea!!

My girl friend just told me the fabrics are from the 20s -- I have no idea.. I'll take it to the quilt shop next and see what they say.
