    Here is the finished applique quilt called, Poinsettia Wreaths from the McCalls, Dec. 2005 magazine. I had the question about removing the outer border large meander.
    I really liked the idea of making a ribbon out of what was there but got scared to try it, thinking it would be double the amount of stitches to rip out. Yes, I'm a chicken.
    So I went with the other idea to leave it as is. I do feel better that I got valuable opinions from all of you. Thank you to everyone that made a post.

    well I didn't see it the first time around but I agree that would have been very good for a ribbon.

    Gosh Girl - this is beautiful AS IS. I just love it as most Christmas quilts I don't like. I would not change a thing.
