    Lone stars are always a hit with me, and I love the warm colors. Blue and whites are classics, though. They are both stunning.

    DA Mayer - all of these were made for swaps and a block lotto. The other two I haven't taken pics of yet are mine.

    Just beautiful. I tried to make that star once. Note emphasis on tried.

    Needless to say, I couldn't. I failed miserably. I failed so miserably, it wasn't even worthy of "hot pad" status. It went in the trash with all my ambition.

    Cordelia,

    The only way, IMHO, to make this star is by strip piecing. I sewed all the strips together and then cut the diamond pieces out and then sewed them together. After doing the first one, the second one went real easy and the next ones will also be easier. I would strongly encourage you to try again.
