Using up stash, making some bed-runners
Here are two bedrunners I've made recently.
One, I call "Coconut Cream Pie." My husband called it the Tan Rainbow. I had a drawer full of just white, ivory, and tan fabrics left over from bigger projects. So I auditioned the fabrics until I had a nice blend of seven fabrics ranging from light to dark. In the photo, I have placed it on an orange lap quilt just for contrast - otherwise it would have been harder to see against the beige carpet. Contemporary looking.
The second, I call "Brooke's Star" I picked out two complimentary blocks from two different sources and made this runner. I've had the blue floral sashing fabric (a little less than 1/2 yard)for a few years, so finally put all of it to good use. The light blue fabric was a FQ, and I used up all of that too. I like how it looks classic, yet fresh.
