wondering if you can use a walking foot with the decorative stitches? I love your idea, and the two quilts are darling.

I just got a new machine and was making placemats for gifts. They are a quilt as you go pattern, so I was using some of the different stitches too. It was an easy way to see what those stitches look like but still be completing a project at the same time. I've 8 finished and maybe will crank out some more before Christmas.

Love your quilts. I also use many different stitches when sewing. I Like the effect that it gives. Plus not I know which stitches work best for other projects.
    HAPPY THANKSGIVING.

Yes, I've used my walking foot on the Bernina 440 with decorative stitches. Works great.

That's a really great idea. I made some quilt sandwich samplers and printed out all the stitches, so I would have a reference copy, but I think I just might try your idea on an actual quilt. Really nice.
