A Very Sad & Disappointing Story with A Happy Ending
#181
That's a beautiful quilt and I'm so glad it found the right home. I have recently gotten to have that feeling you get when it's loved and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. As for the first person, like I tell my kids, consider that person ignorant and incapable of acting better. If she's having a baby she'll soon get a dose of the "real" world.

This is an absolutley gorgeous quilt. If this sin't your best work, your other work must be really awesome. I have made 2 baby quilts, neither recipient ever bothered to say Thanks. I will be very selective in making more. I am now making quilts for charity. I think they will be appreciated more.

I agree that the quilt is beautiful and the second recipient was truely grateful. I would have written a note to the first recipent and said that I could not afford to buy off of her registry as the quilt had taken the money I would have used. I'm sorry she didn't like it but I can't replace it.

I have been less than impressed with present/gift giving lately. Even the little kids tear off the wrappings and throw their presents in a pile. Nothing is really appreciated. Most of the time they do not even acknowledge attendance at the parties.
I am saving quilts for comfort needs (those sick etc.) and those in hospital/nursing homes. Only give to parents who know the work that goes into a homemade present. I dont care if they use it on the floor or put it on the wall. Just enjoy and appreciate.
