The quilt is so pretty and I can tell you put a lot of work and heart in it. Good for you!

I love that story! I love the quilt--it is a great quilt. How ungracious of that gal who the quilt was meant for--is your daughter still friends with her?

Totally agree with what she said!! I have an offspring whom I love dearly, but who is ALSO a jerk. So, my work goes to Project Linus, or anywhere else it is appreciated.

I made a quilt for someone and when the shower came it stated 'gift cards only' the quilt will remain with me until I find it a grateful home.
And, no, I did not send a gfit card lol!!!!!!

Sounds like my ex daughter in law.......

She would send out emails before Thanksgiving detailing "exactly" what the kids wanted for Christmas.

I deleted it and we bought what we wanted to. Then I chewed her out for being so crude and ill mannered.

Ah the stars were aligned. Don't fret the first recipient. You did well finding the rightful owner, and she loved it, which is all it is about!
    Your quilt is beautiful! Pat

That quilt was made with a lot of 'love' and anyone should be pleased to recieve it. I know I would. Glad you found someone who appreciated all your work.

    It found it's home.
Some people just have no tact, but luckily you got it back and it didn't end up being one of those you see at Goodwill. I love it and think you did a great job on it. I guess because we all love quilts so much and even they are not "our" colors appreciate them and cherish the work and thought that goes into them, we think everyone else should also. I have made quilts I will never use but love. To us they are art, some modern, some primitive, some traditional but still a loved object and if we find the person we think will treasure it also and use it, now that is the best of all.
