Sorry for posting twice, but it occurred to me that maybe your true "gift" to her would be a copy of this thread!!

I love your story. Not everyone (obviously) appreciates hand-made gifts. So happy that your co-worker gets this quilt and that she loves it!

I am glad you had the guts to take it back too.Had the same from SIL. Nothing is ever good enough. I avoid people like that. My hubbys favorite saying What comes around goes around and have seen it many times in my life. You did a wonderful job all the way around. I thank you for your fantastic story and even love the results.

What a little B****H! I wouldn't haven't gotten her anything else either. It wasn't definitely destined to go the the latter. What has happened to people that they could be so rude?

I think the quilt found the right home. As for the first young lady she should learn some manners.

I'm so happy your quilt found a home where it will be loved and appreciated. Quilts must be alittle like people, sometimes it takes awhile for us to get to that place where we belong.

I am so glad your precious baby quilt found the perfect home with a happy ending. :)

I don't understand people. While I do like for my house to be color coordinated, if I want a blanket or quilt to snuggle up in on the couch during the cold winter, then I don't care what color it is! I just want to be warm. Send the wedding quilt my way. I will gratefully use it, no problem!

And yes it is nice to have matching items for the baby's room, but what about the quilt to take with you to visit someone's home so baby can be down on the floor? OMG - it might not match their home either!? How awful! What to do! Better call ahead & find out the colors of everywhere you may go with that baby so you can register for quilts in matching colors for all possible situations!
