    You can do this on your regular home sewing machine! As long as you have the ability to drop the feed you an free motion this! I used to do a lot of this style of sewing on my regular machine. It's just faster on the long arm...but a sit down machine is better for detail.

    Thanks for posting the finished versions! They are simply stunning!!!
    You really got my imagination going with your earlier pictures of them in progress, as a matter of fact, I just got back from the LQS (small business Saturday!) where I purchased several yards of Southern Belle muslin. Hope you think that imitation is the highest form of flattery, because I'm starting mine next week!

    Brenda - thank you!! My children will definitely use them though...because what good is an heirloom that your only memories are of looking at?? LOL My most cherished mementos are tattered, stained, and worn...
