The back looks like it has NO threads!
What did it get sewn together with?
Is that what the back of your quilt tops look like? Mine show sewing stitches from the machine, and little knots and thread cuts' tails. Not to mention little ironing errors and the occasional time the machine gobbled up a seam which should have lain flat.
uh-oh...this hiding of thread was not in the 1980 quilt book and not in the 2010 quilt book I go by as a newbie.
Please advise before I sail along and make more mistakes!

First, I love the quilt tops!. I would soak the stained one in some oxi clean. I think plain white muslin would be appropriate for these quilts. Are you going to hand quilt them?

They do make one think of hand quilting.
