I can only say I picked them up here and there. I wanted to rescue them. I couldn't tell you for sure because back then I was hitting yard sales and ebay.

And thats an idea to roll around. I just have more than I thought I did. lol
I think this is the last of the vintage blocks though

the one I set with green I really wonder. some of the blocks are planned out and some are just random fabrics. And there is all kinds of fabric from denim to ribbed cotton to a silky fabric. I wonder who put it together and who wore the clothes it came from or if it was put together by more than one person. The stitches are tiny unlike the last group of mostly blue blocks, they have the very thick thread and the stitches are big. I am hoping the quilting will stabilize it.

I am glad you are enjoying it. I have had these for a long time and wanted to get them put together. I am leaning toward more art type quilts. Some with messages . I appreciate the traditional quilts and love scrap quilts. Scrappy quilts are harder to make than most people think. I cannot do one well so I get the old blocks and get my scrappy fix from that. And I love the old fabrics and colors. Go figure, my fabric choices are mostly hand dyes now. LOL
