    Default Vintage Pinwheels

I love these "civil war" fabrics that Linda used to piece her lap size quilt top. Linda and I both like to use Hobbs 80/20 batting, unwashed, so the quilt will "crinkle" when washed. I found that I could quilt the HST blocks, corner to corner with a serpentine stitch through the center of the block and not need to tie off; then come back, corner to corner, doing SID along one half side of the pinwheels to the border then back, corner to corner, quilting the other half of the pinwheels. Added SID to the borders, some loops in the second border, serpentine stitching in the outside borders and whola, we were done!
