Vintage quilt top #8 that I made into a quilt
#17
I love these vintage quilts, and this one is a very nice one, with such vivid colors to be so old. The top must have been very well cared for over the years. Your quilting is superb. I wish I could meander that well. Good job!

Eddie you amaze me with how much you have grown as a quilter in such a short time. Quilting is one of your callings, that's for sure. I miss your input as you don't post as often, you seem so busy now, but I look forward to whatever you share with us. You inspire me!! Thank you for sharing all these quilts of your dear friend's family. They are treasures!!

it is great that there is a history to the quilt, but did they know the tops are worth more as TOPS that quilts?
I just found one in a barn that predates 1836 and the textile historian for the OK museums said I can not even wash it! The chemicals in our water alone could cause damage to the fabrics, most were hand dyes with plants.
