I agree with you, I think sometimes the simpler the prettier. We get so caught up trying to get just the right fabric and color we forget to enjoy

Eddie, it's just beautiful and I agree with you about simple patterns. They are my favorite- love the oldies!! :D

Very pretty! I love the older tops and fabrics. I like the simpler patterns too. There is just something about them that makes them special.

Beautiful quilt. I just made a twin size for my DGD and now she wants me to make a quilt for her boyfriend. Hers was shades of yellow mostly with cabbage roses in some blocks, I hand quilted it and it came out so pretty, I used white in between the blocks and also a soft sage qreen for half of the blocks. She loves it...the look is so old fashioned. but it was what she wanted....I quilted a heart the size of the clover yo yo heart pattern into the blocks that only had stitching in ditch..and I did add a running line of tiny yo yos down one line. she loves yo yos. she is 21. there is hope for her generation. she doesn't sew, but loves the look of homemade...

I agree, it's lovely. Your work is beautiful.

I agree, simple patterns like the nine patch are so versatile and with good color combination can make such striking quilts. This one is a beauty.
