    Default Virginia birdie

Got my Virginia birdie done yesterday. Now I have four done in my birdie embroidery quilt. Slowly but surely…

Wow you are multi-tasking LOL Bet you embroider in the evenings, right? You have a great start with the cardinal and the dogwood blossoms. It will be beautiful when done. I did a state quilt for our son and wife, in VA, but it was all piecing. Also a ton of work, ha, ha.

Love seeing hand embroidery. Machine embroidery has its place and purpose, but I love the fine skill of working by hand with needle and colored thread to produce a picture.

This is so sweet and it reminds me of some of the vintage quilts I adore!
