Thanks everyone, for all the warm fuzzies. This is inspiring me to dress up the plain Jane's. I have several 66's which are totally unadorned. I mentioned that the 4-H students will squabble over Virginia, so if the other girls get dressed in fine array, perhaps everyone will be happy, including the olebat who has to listen to the kids.

Would it be desecration to put some sort of decals on the true vintage machines? I'd hate to put, say, a red eye on them - that would be impersonation of a real lady. (Ya know what I mean?) But I would like to have something appropriate.

For the younger, white Singers, I think one is a slant-o-matic, I thought about some of that wild wild fire stuff common with the motorcycle folks. The boys may like that. I won't feel too guilty dressing them up.

enjoy sewing withww your new gem. You could probably go no line anad find out exactly when it was manufactured. make sure you save copies of the photos you posted to protect its provenance in case it is ever sold.

    Have fun 8-)
