Bear with me this is the first time I'm posting a pic - hope it works. With the World Cup Soccer on at the moment in South Africa I thought it a good idea to do a quilt. Not sure if any of you have heard of a "Vuvuzela" but its a really annoying noisy trumpet type thing that everyone blows during a game. Sounds like a hornets nest! I still have to do the quilting and binding. Quilt is made of silk and cotton.

Great quilt, and the horns are very annoying.

So cute, but are you going add soccer balls to the border or binding? I've been watching the games between the college World Series baseball games. I usually turn the volume down on the soccer games because of the noisy horns. They are really awful sounding. Love the colors in the quilt.
I coached some soccer teams on the local level when my children were young, and I love the game. My major in college was Phys. Ed. with a minor in Elem. Educ.. Needless to say I never really used my Phys. Ed. but taught Elem. and taught first grade for 20 + years before retiring. I taught other grades for a couple of years but started in 1988 with First grade and taught there until I retired. I started with tutoring in 2004 and I am now doing math tutorials thru the school year for 4th and 5th graders. I really love the tutoring, because I only have 4-5 students at a time for 30-45 min. at a time then a new group. I love the one on one with students, a lot different than with 20-22 at a time and you can really see the lights turn on after a while, such a rewarding experience.

Cool quilt very irritating noise...my husband is convinced those horns stopped Italy in their tracks. One very grumpy husband last night!
