    Good job! I have always wanted to make some of those -- I even have the cording/rope to do it with!

    You can use either one. It suggests 3/16". Poly is more relaxed and cotton is more rigid. I found the cotton cord cheaper. 3 bucks for 100' and 50' built one like I have. As far as material you can use anything cut it or rip it 1.5" and wrap then use zig zag stitch but I bet you already know that.

    Those baskets are fun but a bit of a struggle to do. Did you use clothesline or some other type of cord. I like the colors you used in your basket.

    3/16inch cotton cord. it takes 50 feet.
