My question exactly. My guild donates quilts to a camp for special needs kids and the quilts get used. We see our quilts on the bunk beds, on couches, in the theater (where they snuggle in them on the floor to watch movies), and just about everywhere else. The camp has even auctioned a couple to help raise funds. We are so proud that our quilts are used by the kids at the camp.

Sorry this brought up the question about why the quilts are not given to the kids - each child does get a quilt. During the course of the summer one of the projects in the grief week includes making a quilt for the camp to hang. Perhaps other weeks do as well. There are plenty of quilts being loved. I had an opportunity to take some quilts I had out to the camp and distribute them. That week the kids were burn victims and they were so happy to show me around the camp while wrapped in my quilts. It was a wonderful experience. My main reason for the photos was to show a different way to hang quilts.
