Wallhanging completion
#1
I responded to an ad on Craigslist about quilting supplies. I drove to the home and has happy to see that there were 6 Creative Grids rulers, several books, 5 yards of 120" Warm and Natural batting, magazines and various fabrics. She proceeded to tell me that she wanted to quilt, took classes but nothing she worked on seemed to come out the way the book said or match the picture so she gave up. She showed me two projects that she had worked but not finished. I offered to take them home and complete them. She was so overjoyed. We had already negotiated payment for the items before seeing the UFO's. I got them completed this weekend and will return to her this week. I can't wait to see her face when she sees them in their entireity. Both of these were paper-pieced.

My hope is that she will get inspired to try quilting again. Of course, I am not parting with the rulers I bought, those were my special find. I told her that I would do it for free, she basically provided most of the materials, what is a little thread, time and some binding fabric for the larger wallhanging. The desired effect is priceless.

You may have a new friend and maybe she will want to try quilting again. Great deal indeed.
