Walmart is starting to put some seasonal materials on sale. These prices are not the GREAT ones that some of you have found, but for new, off-the-bolt I thought they were pretty good. Had been told that our local WM was pulling its fabric dept in a 2011 remodel. Was told by clerk tonight that it's gotten a reprieve until 2012. I can play to my heart's content with these prices - at the local quilt shop prices I would be very limited. The price is what I paid per yard. NOTE: I'm NOT selling them, just showing them!

Some of you would love this. Husband was with me on this shopping expedition. I'm getting my fabric cut and he's at the sale table pulling bolts and saying, "What about this one?" That's where the spools and the little florals came from.

The pictures overlap - 6 total fabrics. Just had to share!

Thats so cool! I sure miss our Walmart fabrics dept. I got some good buys there! I don't even know where the closest WalMart is that still sells it! I'm glad you're still able to get it! I really like the striped Autumn Leaves.

Valance - great idea! I think I'm going to make a tote for a fellow quilter. Just got a yard - probably going to be sorry I didn't get more.

I wonder why walmarts are doing away with the fabric depts. Our local Walmart still has theirs, but there is always talk that they won't have it "next year" this has been said for about 5 years now. lol But we still have it :)

Great prices! Our Walmart never puts them on sale like that... but they get sold pretty quickly at their regular prices :D:D:D:D

Highest regular price I've paid is $4.44, but some of these were $5.97 regular. Glad I didn't see them then - much happier with them at $3!

I hope the Walmart in Helena, MT, still has fabric! I'm flying to my mother's for January. Two years ago I got some GREAT deals on Xmas fabric.
