    This is my first try at posting. This is a quilt that I made for my son and his wife (now).

    I should have mentioned he is a Seminary student in Kentucky. That is the reasoning behind the cross quilt

    Is that the Rose of Sharon in the sashings?
    Did you do those via applique?
    I think that you did a very fine job with meaningful blocks that tell good stories. Just makes a quilt so much more special. :D

    They are spikenard plants and the brown are the roots. The root is what the oil is from that Mary rubbed on Jesus before he was crucified.

    I love your quilt. I have seen similar, but your is the nicest. Such meaning and love in all the 'objects' in the quilt. Thanks for sharing.
