Beautiful fabrics. Are they maybe from the 1980s? The only product I have found that seems to remove odors from fabrics is OxyClean.

I don't know what era these are from, some seem to be pretty old. They belonged to an elderly woman that passed away and her children were gonna throw all of it in the trash.

Arm and Hammer washing soda does wonders and leaves fabric soft. Put in with reg. detergent.

there is a product called Odoban I know you can get at Sams and probably other places. Put it in wash water and or rince water. It does a wonderful job of removing odors. I also spray the air to freshen the house.

Those are pretty fabrics and do look a bit like 40's or 50's prints. Your crazy quilt is off to a good start. I'm glad that they were not ruined beyond use.

The crazy blocks are great! It is going to make an awesome quilt. The vinegar should help to get the smell out of the fabric. Good luck!
