    It's perfect for a baby, bright colors, animals to look at. Minkee makes wonderful backing for baby quilts, it is soft and snuggly. I have used it several times without batting.

    I LOVE it! I'm waiting for a similar pattern of jungle animals and all to arrive. I have never used any of the minky fabric, so I can't comment.

    BUt I do think using it without batting makes sense, as he will probably never have to be covered by a lot of blankets.

    I bet it becomes his special "binky"
