I've been putting out my fall quilts and wanted to show you a variation of warm wishes. I didn't have enough of the border fabric to do the alternate blocks, so I bordered them in black. I like the effect, it's a little bit of a variation on the original pattern. I came up with a fmq design with very few stops and starts, but several passes over the same area. The border was fmq by making a grid based on the design of the fabric. Thanks for looking, and Happy Fall to All!

Very nice! Good thinking on the way you used the black.

Very pretty. This is one of my favorite pattern. First one I hand quilted to give away!

Your variation takes a plain quilt and really makes it shine.
Your color placement/contrast really maximizes the pattern.
And I love the pieced back.
