Dittter has a good idea, use dark thread to quilt over it.
Oh, I like that idea w/the dark thread over it. that'll work too!! Thanks so much, Jingleberry. I was heartsick.

no matter what you use always test a small corner to make sure, sometimes what came out just fine on this project would not come out of that one...always test before using anything; i had one of those blue disappear with water pens that disappeared just fine from the quilt top but stained the back...
since you are quilting with a dark thread it kind of blends in ok...but so sorry this happened.

so sorry this happened to your quilt...
I can't stand what they have on the market! None of it is for fine lines like I love. Do they make water soluble pens? If so, they probably are not fine line enough for me. I've always gotten the ink out before with hair spray.

There are fine line water soluable and air soluable pens. They are purple (air soluable) and blue (water soluable)--just like the regular ones just fine point. They are no wider than a regular pen.

just a thought but won't mayo and oil soap leave grease marks on your fabric?

I used ink pen on one of my quilts one time and I used dawn dish soap and a lil scrub brush and let it soak for a lil while and then washed it in the washer and it all came out :o)

    Oh dear! So sorry!
My DH had an ink pen leak in his pocket one time and my grandma told me to soak it in milk. It took it out and saved the shirt. Might be worth a try.

Hope you find something that works for you!!!

Soooorry. I'm with Ditter, quilt over it if it won't come out. That quilt is too nice to give up. Good luck.
