    Default Watermelon Quilt

I have something of a stash. I need to get through it. So, I decided to use up as much as I could... Here's the result! The availability of batiks inspired me to focus on colour more than on blocks, resulting in the Watermelon quilt (hand pieced and quilted). It contains over 200 different fabrics (all cotton), including a piece of a dress I made when I was a teenager and a piece from the little pair of pants I made my son when he was a baby (the watermelon fabric in the corner). I hope you enjoy the riot of colour. Notice also the quilting, especially on the black border. That was so much fun!
