This pattern is from American Patchwork and Quilting. Overall I am thrilled with it. Two exceptions:
1) the white on one of the black on white prints is noticeably duller (yellow) than all of the others. I did not notice until halfway through quilting. The photo doesn’t really show it but it is quite obvious.
2) I should have left out two of the white on black prints as the contrast was insufficient. I wanted the effect to be subtle but it ended up looking like I made piecing errors.
As always, lessons learned for future projects!
This was headed to my black and white loving niece, hedging a bit because of the above noted problems. I will make up my mind before my next visit.

So very very modern and beautifully done! Remember, we are our own worse critics, the likelihood of a recipient noticing what we perceive as a mistake, is very small, and if they did, and commented on said mistake, I would then deem them as unworthy of my efforts. This was made with love specifically with that person in mind, they will love it! If not, send it my way it’s gorgeous!
